I originally posted an item about red states versus blue states back in 2012! Someone else made a post entitled, "Dear Red States" and it also showed up on the Internet back in 2012, (see below). I still think it is "post worthy"! Hello
Wisconsin & Michigan??? What happened to you two? Did some of you "Blue Folks" flip or flop? Let me know when "The Donald" opens those coal mines and begins to bring back those jobs or starts bringing his clothing line back from China to the US of A!!!
Bottom line...in my opinion, I think the rural voters of America listened to the voice of change..."The Donald"! I think they felt disenfranchised. Many are unemployed or may feel that they're under-employed & unrepresnted...and no one was listening to them...except "The Donald"...from his 5th Avenue Penthouse in Trump Tower!
Did I mention Brexit?
So, below, is the old "Dear Red States" post that was floating around the Internet back in 2012! Did I mention Calexit?
Here ya' go!
Dear Red States:
We've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue States with us.
In case you aren't aware, that includes Hawaii, Oregon, Washington,
Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all of the Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of New California.
To sum up briefly:
- You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states. We get stem cell research and the best beaches.
- We get Elliot Spitzer. You get Ken Lay.
- We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood.
- We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.
- We get Harvard. You get Ole' Miss.
- We get 85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama.
- We get two-thirds of the tax revenue. You get to make the red states pay their fair share.
- Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms.
With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80 percent of the country's fresh water, more than 90 percent of the pineapple and lettuce, 92 percent of the nation's fresh fruit, 95 percent of America's quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners) 90 percent of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools, plus Stanford, Cal Tech, MIT, and University of California.
With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88 percent of all obese Americans (and their projected health care costs), 92 percent of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100 percent of the tornadoes, 90 percent of the hurricanes, 99 percent of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100 percent of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.
We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.
Additionally, 38 percent of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62 percent believe life is sacred unless we're discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44 percent say that evolution is only a theory, 53 percent that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61 percent of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals than we lefties.
It really concerns me how much I believe this country is so divided now...as never before!

"President-elect Trump noted to President Putin that he is very much looking forward to having a strong and enduring relationship with Russia and the people of Russia," Trump's office said in a statement.
But in a far-more detailed statement posted to the Kremlin's website, Russian officials said Putin, in the call, not only congratulated Trump on his win but also said he was prepared to "establish a partner-like dialogue with the new administration on the basis of equality, mutual respect and noninterference in domestic relations."

"Election Day will redeem and settle nothing, not this time around. No matter who declares victory, tens of millions of Americans will be convinced — truly convinced — that the outcome isn’t legitimate because untoward forces intervened. Whether balloons fall on Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, there will be bolder divisions in America than there were at the start of it all and even less faith in the country’s most important institutions."

Lawyers suing Donald Trump for fraud over his Trump University real-estate seminar program say his campaign trail statements — including some alleged whoppers — should be fair game at a civil trial set to start later this month.
A woman, who has not been publicly identified but who is being referred to as Jane Doe, alleges that Donald Trump sexually assaulted and raped her during four separate parties in 1994 when she was 13-years-old. She says that the parties were hosted by Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire who has since been convicted of soliciting an underage girl and who is a registered sex offender.
