Sarah Palin: Jesus advocated for death penalty!

Sarah Palin claimed that Jesus Christ advocated for the death penalty his entire life until his final day on Earth.

In an interview with Fox News, the former Alaskan governor was asked how she reconciles her support for the death penalty with her Christian faith, particularly in light of the recent botched execution of a death row inmate in Oklahoma.

She surprised Fox and Friends hosts Steve Doocy and Elisabeth Hasselbeck by saying that her position is inspired from Jesus' own stance in biblical times.

"I know the liberals hate it when you start mentioning the Bible," she told the pair, "but the truth is Jesus fought for the death penalty until the day he died. He was a tireless advocate of being tough on crime and making sure the criminals can't be out there raping and murdering people.

"In ancient Jerusalem crime was rampant. The Romans and their pagan morality wouldn't allow the proper punishment wrongdoers deserve. So Jesus lobbied for capital punishment in order to protect the Christians and the Jews from the Palestinians and other Muslims who were killing people left and right.

"Unfortunately Jesus' ideas were never implemented and the Roman Empire fell as result. But here in America we've always followed Jesus' advice on the death penalty, and that's why we have the lowest crime rate in the world."

In a new Obama profile in The New Yorker, the President famously says that marijuana is no worse for people than cigarettes and alcohol.   In the germane passage regarding race, Obama tells interviewer David Remnick:

"There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black president... Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I'm a black president."

Showing pure contempt for the ideals that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. embraced, and on the day we have chosen as a nation to celebrate his life, the former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, chose to make a spectacle of herself on Facebook.

"It’s beyond shameful to see Barack Obama disrespect and mistreat our World War II veterans so blatantly.   Obama’s political stunt to 'shut down' their memorial by barricade is to elicit an angry response to generate bad publicity for people the president uses in his continual blame game.   The difference is obvious.   There aren’t any World War I veterans alive today to mistreat in a shameful political stunt.   He’s deployed more guards to bar our World War II heroes from their memorial than he sent to Benghazi when our consulate was under attack.

The President is treating our veterans the same way he treated school kids when he cancelled their White House tours.   When times called for obvious government belt-tightening, he took it out on kids rather than look for anything that would affect him personally.   And while our vets are barricaded from the memorial they built with their heroism, the government 'slim down' won’t affect Obama’s golf game or his family’s White House chefs."

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and self-professed 'Mama Grizzly,' is rejoining Fox News as a contributor.

The return of the outspoken 2008 vice presidential candidate, who appeared on the fair and balanced network for three years ending in January, was announced by Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.

“I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming," Ailes said.
